The 4th annual "Some Gave All" 5K road race will be held on May 11th in Lula, GA in memory of Major Kevin M. Jenrette, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2009. The event will include a 5K run, 1-mile Freedom Run, Tot Trot for children, and possibly a "Ranger Buddy Run" challenge run. Proceeds will benefit the Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation in Major Jenrette's memory.

SAVE THE DATE-MAY 11, 2013 !
The “Some Gave All” road race will be held Saturday, May 11th at 5:00pm at Rafe Banks Park
in Lula, GA. An awards ceremony & post race cook-outwill follow.The events include a 5K road
race, a 1 mile Freedom Run and Tot Trot at 6:00pm, and possibly a “Ranger Buddy Run” course!
Packet pick-up begins at 3:00pm.
The “Ranger Buddy Run” is a tradition at Camp Darby to determine the endurance of a Ranger
Candidate. MAJ Jenrette ran this course when he was attending Ranger School. In honor of that,
we are offering a category for all Soldier buddy teams that want to run the 5k in uniform, boots,
LCE/LBV, and dummy rifle. Winnersof the Ranger Buddy Team must cross the finish line at the
same time in the proper uniform. All interested in this ultimate endurance event must contact CPT
Royal at jason.c.royal.mil@mail.mil in order to have a rifle for the race.
Additional activities include a silent auction, bouncy house for children, face painting, rock wall, a
US Army helicopter, military vehicles and displays, and much, much more.
Registration, volunteer opportunities, sponsorship information and more will follow. Proceeds from
the event will be donated to the Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation in
Memory of Major Kevin M. Jenrette.The Foundation, a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization,
provides emergency relief assistance to the soldiers and airmen of the Georgia National Guard.
