Sonar is a system that uses sound waves to track objects underwater like icebergs. Lewis Nixon invented the first sonar to track objects, while Paul Langevin invented the first sonar for submarines. Over the years, sonar technology improved greatly, becoming more advanced and changing in design as it grew more popular for tracking underwater.
