Sophie Pascoe is a 19-year old Paralympic swimmer from Christchurch, New Zealand who was born on January 8, 1993. She has no lower part of her left leg after an accident with a lawnmower at age 2. At the 2012 London Paralympics, she competed in 6 swimming events and has previously competed in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. Sophie holds the record of winning 10 gold medals and 20 medals total in Paralympic competition.
