- 2. Ground Rules Meetings will start and end on time. Please turn off or mute cell phones for duration of the meeting Everyone participates; no one dominates. Keep an open mind. This is a public discussion, not a debate. The purpose is not to win an argument, but to hear many points of view and explore many options and solutions. One conversation at a time. Show respect for others by listening to their point of view and refraining from side conversations. It is okay to disagree, but dont be disagreeable. Do not be afraid to respectfully challenge one another by asking questions, but refrain from personal attacks
- 3. Ground Rules Different opinions are welcome - Contrary views are encouraged to support robust decision-making. There are no "right answers". Avoid "we did that in the past and it didn't/won't work." Stifling someone's thoughts can prevent them from suggesting others. Respond to others how you want to be responded to. Silence is agreement. It is unacceptable to remain silent during a meeting and then later say you don't agree with the group decision. Have fun!
