Locate the artwork template in the MFG folder, and then insert the following items into the
appropriate fields in the template. See the MFGVALUES.TXT file or the physical Golden Master
Applications and Drivers Recovery Disc label for the values to use in these fields.
Field 0: Enter the Family name: For example, T23. If no information has been
provided for this field, delete "[Field 0]" from the label.
Field 1: Enter the disc number. For example "Disc 1 of 2"
Field 2: Enter the date: Month (spelled out) and 4-digit year only.
Field 3: Enter the 7-digit part number.
Field 4: This field is not used for this template.
Field 5: Enter the 2-character language code.
Field 6: This field is not used by this template.
Field 7: Enter the Microsoft copyright date (the current year).
Field 8: Machine types. Do one of the following:
- If one or more 4-digit machine types are provided as a value for field 8, enter these
machine types in [Field 8 line 1]. If all machine types cannot fit on the line identified
as [Field 8 line 1], use the fields below it [Field 8 - line 2], [Field 8 - line 3], and [Field
8 - line 4] for the remainder of machine types. Delete any Field 8 lines that are not
required.
- If NA is provided as a value for field 8, do the following:

For the case study provided to you, create MS Word tables that identify and contain the hardware and software requirements to meet the director's requirements. The MS Word document in its final form will include 6 MS Word tables. It will include a two-paragraph narrative summary that classifies the user type and identifies the PC category that will be recommended. The specific instructions are found in the table at the end of this file.
Students are expected to conduct external research to adequately address all aspects of the assignment requirements. It is suggested that students use a computer manufacturer's site (i.e., Apple, Dell, Toshiba) to help in identifying all the components needed to meet the director's requirements. Remember, although there are 5 computers to be purchased, you are required to configure only one, as the same one may be purchased for all 5 employees. Any outside sources should be correctly cited in APA style at the end of the table. Students will need to include specific requirements from the case study to show why each item is being recommended. Each element listed below must be incorporated into the assignment. Omissions will result in loss of points.
