SPHERE provided summaries of its projects in 2016 to help empower rural economies through social platforms. Some of the key projects included facilitating strategic planning for small and medium enterprises, evaluating an enrollment to employment program, developing a leadership program, researching digital payments and inclusive business models in agriculture, supporting agricultural microfinance, conducting strategic reviews, and establishing links to find social enterprise investments. SPHERE completed impact assessments and validations of its agricultural value chain initiatives and sealed multiple contracts in 2016, serving over 150,000 end clients through partner organizations.
