Roles and Responsibilities:
 Performing Daily health for Paper Machinery equipment, Rewinders, sheeters and Packing
machine equipment by taking complete monitoring of running equipment, predicting the
troubles.
 Analysing the trouble which requires running maintenance or shutdown maintenance and taking
necessary action plan depending on the severity of the trouble.
 Allocation of overhauling work to the work men depending on the need of the spare equipment.
 Indenting of required spare parts for overhauling and maintenance of machines.
 Continuously monitoring the status of the safety jobs recommended by the safety department
for completion and reporting to the concerned plant personal.
 Continuously create awareness among the workers about the uses of safety Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE).

 Identify the critical jobs which have to be attended during annual outage during the daily
monitoring of the machines.
 Maintaining database of daily overhauling jobs, running maintenance jobs, shutdown
maintenance jobs and breakdown maintenance jobs in SAP through notification creation.
 Daily reporting to the higher personals about the machine condition and troubles (if any).
 Conducting training programs among the workers about the safety precautions while working in
the machine.
 Breakdown analysis (RCFA analysis) being done for the repetitive breakdowns.
 Overhauling of changed rolls after shutdown, if the roll requires grinding after dismantling of
bearings roll will be grinded on roll grinding machine after that assembling will be done.
 One-to-one spare is being maintained for each equipment to attend any breakdown occurred.
 To reduce the downtime (due to breakdown), the health of the machine equipment is being
monitored by implementing preventive maintenance schedules and jobs identified during the
regular check up were completely attended during the shutdown time of the machine.
 By regularly monitoring the machines to identify the oil leakages from the lubricating systems
and hydraulic power packs.
 Oil leakages identified during the check up, immediate action was taken to arrest the leakage, to
avoid the environmental contamination (Land contamination).
 Daily monitoring of the outsourced activities (annual maintenance contract jobs) and review the
activities monthly for improvement.
 Maintenance shutdown plan was prepared for every 45 days by including the preventive
maintenance jobs.
 Annual outage plan along with micro plan for each job prepared for every 6 months to attend
the critical jobs, development and modification jobs. If the jobs delayed beyond the scheduled
time critics prepared for the future reference.
 The troubles occurred during the running and breakdown maintenance was reviewed weekly
with department head, reliability head and plant head.
 Daily review with other department personals (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil and
process/production people) about the issues occurred on the day during MWS (Manufacturing
Work System).
 Training needs identified for the workers who requires training in technical and safety aspects.
