Cost Effectiveness Analysis for Targeted Therapy in Patients with Acute Myelo...Madeleine Lee
?
This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of using targeted therapies compared to standard chemotherapy for treating acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. The study developed Markov models to analyze the costs and effects of the different treatment strategies. It reviewed literature on clinical trials of several targeted therapies approved since 2017 for AML, including FLT3 inhibitors, IDH inhibitors, and others. The results indicated that for ineligible patients, targeted therapies may be a cost-effective alternative to intensive chemotherapy, based on an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio analysis. However, more detailed cohort studies are still needed to evaluate outcomes based on patient characteristics and multiple treatment approaches.
1. Successful global suppliers must be able to spot trends and change their supply networks accordingly.
2. For example, when manufacturing the Xbox, Flextronics initially set up plants near target markets in Europe and North America for speed. Later they moved to China for lower costs as costs became a higher priority.
3. Cisco uses a tiered approach for sourcing based on product customization needs, going from standard mass production to customized suppliers near target markets.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) Tools - 7 Basic ToolsMadeleine Lee
?
The document describes 7 basic statistical process control tools: check sheet, stratification, scatter diagram, histogram, Pareto chart, control chart, and cause and effect diagram. It provides descriptions and examples of how to use check sheets, stratification analysis, scatter diagrams, histograms, and cause and effect diagrams. The tools can be used to identify problems, understand relationships between variables, categorize causes of variation, and structure brainstorming to identify potential causes of problems or effects. Histograms represent tabulated frequency distributions and can identify if a process is normally distributed. Cause and effect diagrams identify many possible reasons for an observed effect or problem by sorting ideas into useful categories.
The document is a series of short messages from Madeleine Lee between 2013-Oct-06 and an unknown later date discussing various topics. Madeleine talks about using small robot troops to teach about color, feeling very calm and at peace, expecting some romance and sentimentality, having a lot of energy and wanting to go biking, swimming and running, having a new idea to reduce carbon as an environment protector, and needing to do yoga after returning from a cruise trip to balance luxury and spirituality. The last message is a simple "thank you" from Madeleine Lee.
