Traditional methods of measuring competence like observation are challenging given the need for frequent assessment and large amounts of data. The proposed solution is to use cloud databases and tablet applications to help address these challenges in assessing competence.
Saikiran Kasturysaikiran KasturySaikiran Kastury has experience designing integrated circuits and layouts using tools like IC Studio. He completed a PG Diploma in ASIC Design from RV-VLSI Design Center in 2016. Some of his projects there included creating a standard cell library using a 90nm process and analog layout of a differential amplifier using a 180nm process. He also created leaf cells for an SRAM using a 28nm process. For his undergraduate project at GITAM, he designed an automatic metro train that used a GPS system and stored passenger information.
Asbestos Removal Companies: regulatory control in Spainmr. dr. Yvonne WatermanThis document discusses the regulatory framework for asbestos removal in Spain, primarily focusing on the transposition of the European Directive 2009/148/EC into Spanish law through Royal Decree 396/2006. Dr. Richard Lemen: What you should know about asbestosmr. dr. Yvonne WatermanThe document discusses the history, production, and health effects of asbestos, emphasizing its carcinogenic properties and the rise of asbestos-related diseases like lung cancer and mesothelioma. It notes that about 125 million people globally are exposed to asbestos, leading to approximately 107,000 deaths annually, with certain occupations and industries at higher risk. The text highlights the decline in asbestos consumption in developed countries but an increase in developing nations, stressing the urgent need for regulations and awareness to prevent further exposure and health issues.
How to control the hazards from asbestos fibres during abatement worksmr. dr. Yvonne WatermanThis document discusses best practices for controlling hazards from asbestos during abatement works. It outlines various types of asbestos, relevant legislation and regulations, and approved codes of practice. It emphasizes the importance of controlling asbestos exposure through strict engineering controls like encapsulation of work sites, wet processes, local exhaust ventilation, and effective respirator use. Medical surveillance and national registries are also recommended. The document provides details on injection techniques, wetting agents, negative pressure units, air monitoring equipment, and decontamination facilities that can help minimize fiber release and exposure during asbestos abatement projects.
Asbestos in the installation sector, by Arco Engelenmr. dr. Yvonne WatermanThis document discusses the risks associated with asbestos exposure in the installation sector and the importance of understanding health and safety (H&S) versus environmental legislation. It highlights that clients often lack awareness of their responsibilities regarding asbestos risks, which can lead to unnecessary exposure for contractors. Effective risk management is emphasized as a crucial step that must begin with the client, rather than relying solely on contractors' training.

Sustainable Innovation with Immersive LearningLeonel MorgadoProf. Leonel and Prof. Dennis approached educational uses, practices, and strategies of using immersion as a lens to interpret, design, and planning educational activities in a sustainable way. Rather than one-off gimmicks, the intent is to enable instructors (and institutions) to be able to include them in their regular activities, including the ability to evaluate and redesign them.
Immersion as a phenomenon enables interpreting pedagogical activities in a learning-agnostic way: you take a stance on the learning theory to follow, and leverage immersion to envision and guide your practice.

They ruled in Gujarat from the latter half of the tenth century to the beginning of the thirteenth century. Their capital was in Anahilwad. It is not certain whether it had any relation with the Chalukya dynasty of the south or not. The rulers of this dynasty were the supporters and patrons of Jainism.

Battle of Bookworms 2025 - U25 Literature Quiz by Pragya Pragya - UEM Kolkata Quiz ClubBattle of Bookworms is a literature quiz organized by Pragya, UEM Kolkata, as part of their cultural fest Ecstasia. Curated by quizmasters Drisana Bhattacharyya, Argha Saha, and Aniket Adhikari, the quiz was a dynamic mix of classical literature, modern writing, mythology, regional texts, and experimental literary forms. It began with a 20-question prelim round where ‘star questions’ played a key tie-breaking role. The top 8 teams moved into advanced rounds, where they faced audio-visual challenges, pounce/bounce formats, immunity tokens, and theme-based risk-reward questions. From Orwell and Hemingway to Tagore and Sarala Das, the quiz traversed a global and Indian literary landscape. Unique rounds explored slipstream fiction, constrained writing, adaptations, and true crime literature. It included signature IDs, character identifications, and open-pounce selections. Questions were crafted to test contextual understanding, narrative knowledge, and authorial intent, making the quiz both intellectually rewarding and culturally rich. Battle of Bookworms proved literature quizzes can be insightful, creative, and deeply enjoyable for all.
