- 2. Հայաստանի կենդանական աշխարհը շատ բազմազան է հաշվվում է մոտ 120000 կենդանատեսակ, որոնցից 75- ը կաթնասուններ են: Շատ կենդանատեսակներ հատուկ են միայն հայկական լեռնաշխարհին: Տարածված կենդանիներից են գայլը, արջը նապաստակը, վարազը, չախկալը:
- 3. կիսաանապատային գոտիներում տարածված են ճագարամուկն ու դաշտամուկը հանդիպում են նաև տափաստանային կատու և ոզնի: Նախալեռնային շրջաններում տարածված են թունավոր օձերը: Հատկապես հայտնի է գյուրզան, որի խայթոցը շատ մահացու է:
- 4. Լեռնային տափաստաններում տարածված են ճագարամուկը, գետնաակյուռը, դաշտամուկը և խլուրդը: Թռչունների շատ տեսակները, ոչնչացնելով մշակաբույսերին վնասող միջատներին, մեծ օգուտ են տալիս գյուղատնտեսությանը:
- 5. Անտառային գոտուն բնորոշ են հատկապես կաթնասուները: Հյուսիսում հանդիպում են այծյամ, լուսան, գորշ աւրջ և վարազ: Խոսրովի անտառում հանդիպում են հսկա անգղներ, որոնց քաշը հասնում է մինչև 12 կգ, իսկ թևերի բացվածքը 3 մ:
