Good evening everyone and Happy New Year!
We’re Arch for Startup: a student organization consisting of about 15 Japanese and American students.
Thanks to JSA officers, we got an opportunity to introduce ourselves today, so let us briefly explain what is Arch for Startup.
Arch for startup is a student organization founded last June, and we are aiming to facilitate to connect and develop startup communities between Japan and Seattle.
First, we have interviewed entrepreneurs, investors, workers, etc., working around Seattle 15 times until now.
Second, We have researched rapidly growing startups in a cloud-computing industry and provided that information to business communities in Japan.
Third, we have been collaborating with ABEJA, one of Japanese media providing cutting-edge marketing information. We have weekly provided an article with them.
Next, we have got permission to translate any articles into Japanese from GeekWire, the biggest medium releasing startup’s information in Pacific NorthWest. Plus, we have weekly published 3 articles and their summaries.
And finally, we hosted a kick-off party in last Oct. and invited approximately 70 people. Moreover, we are aiming to plan and host more events and workshops to make us recognized.
