measuring tools and
consumables helpful in
making of Proof of
Concept of the students.
Also center is having
PCB prototyping
machine which is having
functions of PCB
engraving, drilling and
cutting so that students
can build special
purpose PCB for their
PoCs.
9. Under this scheme Institute has supported
few Start ups out of that highlighting start
ups are as follows:
1. Brotherhood e-Bike
This is special e-Bike which permits pedaling also. As and
when person tired, he/she can change it into battery mode.
Company: Rezillience Transport R&D LLP
Students: Gaurav Dhingani
Athira Pradeepan
Mentor: Dr C H Vithalani
11. 2. Automatic Solar Panel Cleaning Machine
This start up proposed one IoT based Automatic Solar Panel
Cleaning Machine which would clean the solar panels when
no power generation is there.

12. During the span of SSIP institute has received 126
applications from different innovative student teams
for getting support for their Proof of Concepts.
Out of that after scrutiny process carried out by the
institute 61 applications were approved for getting
support under SSIP.
After all the processes done 38 groups utilised the
fund approved by institute and others were mentored
for their innovative idea by faculty members.
Approximate amount of 8 lacks has been funded for
all 38 PoCs.
13. Few Highlighting Proof of concepts are as
follows:
Drainage Management App:
This was a solution provided to the Municipal
corporations for the problem of manhole
overflowing.
The students have developed solution using IoT
technology using which all the manholes are
continuously monitored and represented in
control room so that personals at Municipal
corporations can prevent the overflowing of the
manholes in time.
15. Portable Weight Measuring Device:
This was the solution provided to the Port and
transport department during Hackathon by the
students of our institute.
The problem was to measure the weight of the
loaded trucks on the road only for the checking
purpose.
The group of students have developed the portable
device which can be carried to any place and by
measuring the individual weight under wheels of the
truck we can calculate the actual weight of the truck.
17. Smartphone Multimeter:
In this idea students have developed one hardware
and one android application which will facilitate the
technicians and engineers with multimeter functions.
So using this one can measure voltage, current,
frequency, resistance like electrical quantities on their
smart phones only. So no need to carry separate
multimeter everywhere they travel.
This idea was appreciated by one of the leading
Embedded company in region named Aarohi
Embedded Systems Pvt. Ltd.
19. As a part of SSIP scheme institute has conducted
various events for students of all branches and all
semesters.
First and foremost, institute has conducted series of
sensitisation seminars for the students of us as well
as of other institutes in the region to make them
aware about the benefits of SSIP. The total number of
students sensitised by the institute is 7200 upto now.
Other than sensitisation institute has carried out
seminars and workshops on the innovative
technologies and entrepreneurship development also.
In all 42 events were organised during the span of 4
years.
20. Other than these, institute has also organised special
events like Idea Competition, Summer Boot Camp,
Ideathon, Technospark etc.
Idea competition was for our own students to
represent innovative ideas in front of industry
experts.
Summer Boot Camp was for the school students for
training them innovation and start up fundamentals.
Technospark was an event in which students pitched
their innovative projects in front of industry experts.
21. Ideathon was an national level competition,
organised in collaboration with Aarohi Embedded
Systems Pvt. Ltd., in which students from
different institutes across India have submitted
their innovative ideas.
Institute have provided them time of three
months and scrutinised ideas were implemented
by students.
On the final hack day they represented their
implemented ideas in front of the panel of
industry and academic experts and winners got
handsome cash prizes.
25. Using the support of SSIP students have
implemented innovative ideas and represented in
events like hackathon and got winner at many
places.
They got recognition in events like Smart Gujarat
for New India Hackathon, Industrial Hackathon,
Rajkot Smart City Hackathon etc and won prizes
at different ranks.
Also our faculty member Dr. D R Bhojani has
been awarded with Best Mentor award by Gujarat
