INTRODUCTION:
Emilia Romagna Region received from other Italian regions part of their European Social Fund, in
order to implement activities, courses and initiatives that could favor the economical and social
recovering of regional territories that were hit by 2012 earthquake.
Among these initiatives there is ITS EUROPE a mobility project addressed to all ITS Students of
Emilia Romagna Region.
ITS (Istituto Tecnico Superiore) are post high school training centers, promoted and financed by the
E.R. Region that give more technical and practical preparation to the students, alternating theoretical
and practical activities, in the regional economical strategic sectors.
Thanks to European Social Fund, ITS students have this year the opportunity to do their internship
abroad.
Many of them selected the Netherlands as their favorite country of destination.
TIMES and SECTORS:
we must send the students in different moments.
The first flow should start the internship at the end of June 2014.
The students are all over 20, mature and have an English level between b1 and c1. They also have
quite good professional preparation, especially those of second year.
For this flow we have 2 main sectors:
- 7 AGRIFOOD OPERATORS: transformation of goods into food, food industry (dairy, cereals,
vegetable, fish, meat, etc.)
400 hours of internship (around 12 weeks)
- 3 SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ENERGY: sustainable buildings,
photovoltaic systems, hydrothermal, aeolian, alternative energy applied in constructions
280 hours of internship (around 8 weeks)
The sectors are roughly described, but all the students have their learning objectives and I can give
you more information for each individual case.
The students can be hosted individually, they don't need to go all together. The intermediary partners
can decide to host from one up to all of them.
ECONOMICAL SIDE:
All the students will have a scholarship to cover their costs abroad.
We need an intermediary partner (a partner specialized in organising internships for foreign students)
that should take care of:
- finding accommodation
- finding working placement
- preparing local transport
- supporting us and the students during their stay and for the final evaluation
- supporting us with the management of the scholarship
We need to transfer scholarship for the students to the intermediary partner, who should pay the
accommodation and give food money to the students.
The scholarship is enough to cover the stay abroad.
The intermediary partner will of course get paid for the job, 500 per students.
They attended hygienic and security measure courses within their training path and they will be
insured for injuries and third party liability.
