History of DSM

DSM was established by the Dutch Expansion in performance By acquiring Gist-brocades Acquisition of Roche Vitamins

EcoPaXX™ is a green high-performance plastic:

The green character of EcoPaXX

EcoPaXX is a bio-based polymer:

- Presently 70% of the polymer is derived from renewable resources

- In the future: 100% (expected time ca. 5 yrs)

- Renewable resources are not competing
with the food chain

- EcoPaXX is carbon neutral:
(CO2 generated in production process,
compensated by absorption in growth process)

EcoPaXX™ is a new polymer based on unique DSM technology:

- Mechanical properties comparable to polyamides
- High melting point of ca. 250oC

EcoPaXX is different from “standard” polyamides, like PA6 and 66:
It is a “long-chain polyamide”. The long (alifatic) chain has a very distinct influence
