Starfish, also known as sea stars, are star-shaped marine animals that come in various colors like yellow, pink, orange and red. They use their five arms to move through shallow waters and eat clams, fish, coral, oysters, mussels and other animals by filling their arms with water. Starfish range in size from 1 centimeter to 1 meter long.

Classification The other name for a sea star is a starfish.
Description The starfish is in the shape of a star. The smallest starfish is 1 centi metre long. The largest is 1 metre. They have five arms around them. Their colour is yellow, pink, orange and red.
How it moves The arm fills up with water which helps it to move.
What does it eat A starfish eats clams , fish ,coral, oysters ,mussels and other animals.
Interesting information They mostly live in the shallow water.
