This document is a production log for a student's short film created between October 2012 and December 2012. It details the various stages of pre-production, filming, editing, sound mixing, color correction and final export of the film. Key events include deciding crew roles, filming over two days, organizing footage, editing scenes, writing and designing opening credits, completing a rough cut, adding additional scenes, and finishing touches to sound, credits and final export.

Today we decided our production roles in the group.
11/09/12
Today we decided what days we are filming. We will be filming on 14/09/12 and 15/09/12.

Today we set up our folders in Adobe Premiere and put our HD and Standard files in there
ready for us to edit our short film.
24/09/12
I looked through all the footage we’ve filmed so far and start exporting it to Premiere and
Syncing the sound into it.

I started editing bits of our short film and putting them together.

I started editing and putting together my opening credits for my short film. I did this on
Adobe after effects.

I am still editing my opening credits for my short film.
11/10/12
I am continuing to edit together my short film and sync the sound together.
15/10/12
I am half way through editing together all the footage that me and my production group
have shot so far.
16/10/12
I have almost finished editing the film together and have now synced all the sound together.
18/10/12
I have now finished editing my short film together and will be shooting more footage for my
short film in the upcoming week.
22/10/12
I have started exporting parts of my short film that I have edited so far.
23/10/12
I have finished exporting the parts of my short film.
25/10/12
I have uploaded the rough edit of my short film on to You Tube.

I have started writing a paragraph describing the rough edit of my short film and saying
what I could do to make it better and how this edit compares to the final completed edit.
30/10/12
I am still writing up the paragraph.
6/11/12
I am renaming and matching up the shots to the audio clips to the footage that me and my
production group filmed over half term.
8/11/12
I am editing together the shots to the sound and making sure that there in sync.
12/11/12
I am still editing together my short film and making sure that it is edited smoothly and that
the cuts aren’t to jumpy.
13/11/12
I have almost finished editing together the completed version of my short film.
15/11/12
Today I will be adding the finishing touches to the completed edit of my short film.

Today I exported all parts of my short film. It is almost finished I just need to add one more
thing to it then my short film will be completed.
20/11/12
Today I put some pictures that we had taken during filming on a word document and wrote
what was happening in them.
22/11/12
Today I checked through my short film, it is almost done.
27/11/12
I rendered my short film and added a few subliminal scenes on to it.
29/11/12
I adjusted the subliminal scenes so that they fitted into my short film better.
3/12/12
Today I started working on my opening credits for my short film using Adobe After Effects.
4/12/12
Today I decided to start over my opening credits and did them on adobe Première instead.
6/12/12
I continued work on my opening credits.
5. 10/12/12
I made a start on my ending credits and finished my opening credits.
11/12/12
Today I added some more scenes to my short film to make it more interesting and intense.
13/12/12
I have started looking at music to play on my opening and ending credits.
17/12/12
I have started editing music into my short film and today I also completed my short film.
