Stingless bees are also called Meliponinas, are a large group of bees comprising the tribe Meliponini. The Indian Stingless bee or Dammer bee, Tetragonula iridipennis belongs to the species Apidae. Unlike other bees, the sting is vestigial but defend their colony only by biting. They yield little honey 60-180ml per colony and the honey had high medicinal value

Dimensions 25*10*10cm続 30*10*10cm続 BASIS FOR OUR BOX MAKING Research analysis : Research conducted by Punith H V entitled 'DESIGNING OF SUITABLE HIVES FOR REARING AND MULTIPLICATION OF STINGLESS BEE"during 2013 -14 at UAS,GKVK,Banglore revealed that boxes of dimension 30*10*10cm続 resulted in increased brood volume and food pot volume .
Materials Plywood Ruler and pen Nails Hammer Thinner, paint and brush Circular saw
Procedure: 2. Cut the plywood to the required dimension using circular saw 3. Arrange the pieces required to make a box 1. Measure and mark the standard dimensions on plywood
4.Place them in the position and nail together 5. Coat a layer of thinner and allow it to dry. Later paint the box and let it dry. (Apply second layer if required)
