The Norwegian Committee for Gender Balance and Diversity in Research (Komiteen for kj淡nnsbalanse og mangfold i forskning, Kif), has held annual network conferences with up to 70 participants at Norwegian universities since 2006. After years of focus on gender balance, the Committee's mandate was expanded to include diversity in 2014. However it has maintained its preference for speakers from the majority, white population. In the 10 conferences held since 2006, only one (in 2013) included a non-white speaker. The campaign against #allwhitepanel in Norway has urged the Committee to include speakers of multicultural/minority background in its network conference in Bod淡 on 18-19 February 2016. As of 15 January, all announced speakers at that event are white. It seems unclear who is responsible for the network conference program. The head of the Committee says they are not responsible, even though the Committee each year publishes the agenda and info articles on its website. The February 2016 conference host, Nord University in Bod淡, writes in the web invitation that the Committee for Gender Balance and Diversity in Research is the "main initiator" of the conference.
