Sanovia Garrett

Sanoviagarrett graduated from Ball State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication Studies and a minor in Leadership. From 2014 to 2015, she served as a Corps Member for City Year Philadelphia, working 45+ hours per week in classrooms and on service projects. She currently works as a Social Emotional Learning Coach and Extended Learning Time Coordinator for City Year, leading students and other Corps Members. She is also the volunteer Project Manager for Dream Live Movement and enjoys writing, blogging, designing flyers, and music.

SANOVIAGarrett 2010-2014| BALL STATE UNIVERSITY, 3.2 GPA Bachelor Arts in Organizational Communication Studies, Minor in Leadership 2014-JUNE 2015| CITY YEAR PHILADELPHIA, CORPS MEMBER Serving 45+ hours a week to execute to a result of 1700 hours--classroom, academic intervention-- and service projects. As a Social Emotional Learning Coach I work collaboratively with 4 students to set behavior goals through 4 (DESSA) assessments. As an Extended Learning Time Coordinator, I co-lead 12 Corps Members & anywhere between (45-80) 6th-8th grade students for 3 days a week. In my self-started Social Media Manager role I persisted in getting the twitter updated to strengthen our social media presence.
