Bloomberg is one of the most useful resources that any MBA college/ Financial institution has. The terminal acts as a huge database for live financial information embedded with lots of tools to analyse and present data. Although the terminal is self-explanatory, various functions and their use explained in Bloomberg course are useful for the novice user. Here are the various strategies that we have implemented in our college - SIIB, Pune to spread awareness.

Conducting Workshop BCP Team has conducted workshop for junior SIIB students. Contents covered: Introduction to Bloomberg Basic Bloomberg functions Department specific functions Data Extraction Demo/Hands-on Making BMC certification mandatory for Finance specialization students. Planning for workshop from Bloomberg Representative / Industry Expert
Department wise Assignments Encouraging students from all the branches to use Bloomberg terminal by providing assignments Encouraging faculty members to incorporate Bloomberg assignment as part of curriculum.
Conducting Competitions Finberg As a part of annual finance conclave we have conducted Bloomberg case study competition. Participation of 180 teams from various B-schools across PAN India. Finatics Flagship event conducted every year during cultural cum management event IGNISENSE Previous year participation of 146 teams from various B-schools across PAN India. Discussing Bloomberg as part of Finance club activity (FINEQUITY)
Other Strategies Quiz and activities to identify potential champions Presentations to Batch on regular basis Bloomberg office visit for senior batch
