Students in a 9th to 10th grade honors English class used one-to-one computing to increase engagement through visual vocabulary lessons using Animoto, blogging discussions on assigned prompts that generated over 250 comments from 35 students in one class period, and tweeting about assigned readings at home. They also created public service announcements after conducting research projects.
7. Visual Vocabulary with AnimotoStudents created visual vocabulary for each of the 30 words on their vocabulary list ¨C each group was responsible for a 30 second ¨C 3 word video on Animoto.
