Editor's Notes
#3: -2.5 minute video that describes the UCSD Libraries-Video and music produced by two UCSD undergrads in collaboration w/Undergrad Servcs Librarian
#6: With regard to computing, all of the libraries are wireless enabled zones. If your child is a bringing a laptop, they will have to register their wireless card with Academic Computing Services Network Operations in order to activate wireless access to UCSDs network -Details in The Libraries Navigator Newsletter (under computing section). Some of our UCSD Libraries check out laptops for student use and wireless cards (IR/PS).And, most have electrified tables that students can also plug laptops into (Biomed,S&E, SIO).
#7: Most libraries provide multiple types of study spaces. Also, each library has its own personality e.g. ClICS is often louder and Biomed more quiet. Encourage your student to find the study space that works best for them!
#12: Mention the Navigator Newsletter and its availability online.
