Linda Perdaems, the Woodland Principal, sent a notice to parents and students about a pilot program called Project Copernicus that will allow students to use personal electronic devices like laptops and netbooks in class. The school district wants students in this program to use their own devices to complete assignments, but will not be responsible for costs associated with the devices. Students must follow all school policies regarding appropriate use of technology and will lose device privileges if those policies are violated. Parents and students must sign agreeing to the terms in order for students to participate.
