Council Tax Exemption Certificate 
What do I get? 
A stamped certificate which you will need to give to your local authority. 
For further information please go to Council Tax - GOV.UK . 
Who is eligible? 
You are eligible if you are enrolled with the Institute on a full-time course of 
study, which exceeds 21 hours a week for a minimum period of 24 weeks. 
How do I apply? 
You can contact enquiries@ioe.ac.uk or request your certificate from the 
Student Support Centre. If you are unsure about your eligibility please 
contact us.

Rail card discount 
What do I get? 
Save 1/3 on rail fares throughout Great Britain. You can buy a 1-year or 3-year card. For 
terms and conditions and restrictions, please visit the website: www.16- 
25railcard.co.uk/using-your-card/faqs/ You can link to your pay as you go oyster card and 
get a third off off-peak travel on the tube and overground. 
Who is eligible? 
Anybody between 16 and 25 years old and mature students over 26 in full-time study. 
How do I apply? 
It costs 贈30 and applications can be made online or at rail stations. 
If you are a mature student you will need to bring in the application form along with a 
passport sized photo for us to sign and stamp.

What do I get? 
The 18+ Student OysterCard gives you 30% off the price of adult-rate Travelcards 
and Bus & Tram Passes. 
Who is eligible? 
You need to be 18 years or over, live at a London address, fully enrolled and on an 
eligible full-time course. 
Part-time students who are also in receipt of university financial assistance fund 
may be eligible as well, please email enquiries@ioe.ac.uk to check. 
How do I apply?
