Success Stories
Oklahoma City
from
in
Bonifacio Jiminez
grew up in a small
Mexican village
speaking his native language.
In 2012, he moved to live with
his brother in Oklahoma,
started learning English
and worked in a restaurant,
where the language barrier
caused frustration.
He heard of the
Metro Tech ESL course
on the radio, later enrolled
and spent six months completing
all five levels of Rosetta Stone.
His performance was stunning.
Seth Eilerts graduated
from Metro Tech in 2010,
received his AMP license
and enrolled in pre-engineering
courses at Oklahoma City
Community College.
Today, he's an aerospace
engineering student at the
University of Oklahoma
and planning to build a
piston-powered aircraft
that intends to break the
world record for altitude.
Johnathan Rodebush
barely graduated high school.
He always worked on vehicles
with his father because his father
was too stubborn to
take vehicles to the shop.
After much consideration,
Johnathan ended up at
Metro Tech for the
Pro-Tech Auto Service program
where he excelled and went on
to complete three degrees.
Now,
he owns an auto repair shop
called Rodey’s Automotive.
Jessica Caldwell
was 12-years old when she
and four siblings were removed
from their home by DHS
and thrust into foster care
for several years.
Although life was frustrating,
Jessica graduated from the
Metro Career Academy at
16-years old as 4th in her class,
and now she is
a thriving college student.
