South Africa has a large coastline and diverse population with an interesting history. The country contains beautiful monuments and hotels, and amazing beaches where the authors swam. Nelson Mandela was elected president in 1994 after fighting against apartheid, and in 1995 South Africa's rugby team won the World Championship in Johannesburg in an important event. The authors explored the country's food and bought presents to bring home.
