The summer boot camp at Li'l Sprouts Montessori School in June 2017 will focus on STEAM subjects like technology, photography, writing, engineering and robotics. Students will learn to design and build gadgets, conduct experiments in electricity and magnetism, and be introduced to robotics. They will also learn photography techniques like controlling aperture, lighting and filters to take better pictures. Additionally, the camp will help students improve their writing in genres like science reports, biographies and creative writing.

- 3. Be a Maker! Schools and libraries are opening Maker Spaces. In this unit, students learn about science, technology, engineering, art and math (S.T.E.A.M.) They will design and construct gadgets, work on experiments in electricity and magnetism, and get their first taste of robotics! Photography. Ever wanted to take better photographs? Learn some of the secrets that professionals use, when it comes to controlling aperture, lighting, filters, and cropping. Learn how to document science, or create art. You will leave with some awesome photographs for your album! Writing Write like a pro when it comes to science reports, essays, or creative writing. Explore genres such as travel writing, biographies, news writing, essays, fiction, and poetry. This science-focused camp also encourages and teaches students how to journal.
