The Garcia family is throwing a surprise birthday party for Ann at their house. Tommy and Emma go to the store to buy eggs and juice for the party. Emma wants to cross the highway instead of using the crosswalk, but Tommy convinces her it's not safe. They use the crosswalk instead and return home safely to help finish preparing for the party.

Surprice party! The Garcia family will throw a surprise party for Ann's birthday in their house. Her mother, Diana, will put up the decorations. Emma will prepare cupcakes. Her father, Pablo will welcome the guests. Tommy will set up the playlist and dance a lot, and Marco will pick up the garbage at the end of the party. "Tommy, we're out of juice", says Pablo. "Could you get some more?" "Sure, Dad. No problem", says Tommy. "Thanks", says Mr. Garcia. "Can I go with you?", asks Emma. "I need eggs for the cupcakes". "Sure", says Tommy. Tommy and Emma walk down the street. Emma is in a hurry. "Let's walk across the highway", she says . "We'll get there faster!" "It's not safe", says Tommy. "We should walk at the crosswalk". Emma doesn't listen. She tries to walk across the highway, but the cars are going fast. " Whoa! You're right, Tommy ", she says. "It's not safe!" Tommy and Emma use the crosswalk and go to the store. They buy eggs and juice, and then walk back home. When they get there, their dad asks: "What took you so long?" "We took the long way", says Emma, "but we were safe!". Everybody starts preparing everything because the guests will arrive soon.
