Sustainable tourism development means growing destinations with quality planning and investments that are successful long-term. It involves optimally using natural resources to develop tourism while preserving cultural authenticity and generating economic and social benefits for local communities. National policies aim to prioritize tourism, improve competitiveness, develop quality services, and strengthen regulatory frameworks. Policies also seek to support regional development and infrastructure while promoting sustainable growth. Despite challenges, improvement is possible through commitment, respecting environments, and better coordination between organizations, government, NGOs, and businesses.
