This document provides a template for conducting a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis. It lists possible strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and provides space to indicate whether each item is relevant. For strengths, it differentiates between tangible and intangible strengths such as assets, contracts, brand recognition, relationships, and experience. For weaknesses, it again separates tangible from intangible such as outdated equipment, narrow product line, poor marketing, and inexperienced managers. Opportunities include expanding products/markets, industry conditions, and macroeconomic trends. Threats cover industry and macro threats such as low-cost imports, substitute products, and changing regulations.
