My arts installation on synethesia which is from the ancient Greek 僚 (syn), "together," and 留畆艦慮侶旅 (aisthsis), "sensation," is a neurologically based condition in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.[1][2][3][4] People who report such experiences are known as synesthetes.

n.
A condition in which one type of stimulation
evokes the sensation of another, as when
the hearing of a sound produces the
visualization of a color.
A sensation felt in one part of the body
as a result of stimulus applied to another, as in
referred pain.
19. the image
Through a memory-like sleep state I am
aware of sensation of sound and image.
I experience feelings of extreme
heaviness, almost
immobile, as if underwater, yet I can
breathe.
As if looking through the lens
of a camera,
blurred with Vaseline, I see a potato-
like and toothpick-like image lying beside each
other.
20. the image
Something full of mass, thick and heavy.
Yet something thin, small and lightweight.
I experience feelings of paralysation.
I cannot move my arms or legs.
My breathing slows down as if Im not breathing at
all.
My eyes are closed, yet they are open to see.
21. the environment
Behind the images in front of me a yellow and
white checkerboard wallpaper.
An image of my childhood in the room I
slept in around the age of 8.
22. the environment
Above a windowless, borderless, dark
and starry fortress surrounds me.
23. the environment
I am floating
in water. Almost like
weightless gravity, but I cannot move.
24. the sound
The sounds are outside of my head, but not in the
distance.
They penetrate my soul through vibrations.
My brain makes sense of them though they make
no sense. Sounds begin to overlap.
It is a void, but not devoid of feeling or
emotion, as the sounds evoke a kind of trance-
like status.
