SYNOPSIS
This story is about a seventeen year old Billy weaver, who arrives in Bath
after taking the train from London. He has never been to the town before, but he
has to start a new job there. As suggested by the bell boy, he heads towards the
Bell and Dragon to spend the night at .
On the way, he notices a sign in the windows of a nearby house.BED and
BREAKFAST. Billy looks in the windows and notices that it is a charming house,
with a roaring fire and a little dog asleep on the rug. He decided to check to
check it out and rings the bell. It is answered and an old lady welcomes him and
tell him the room mate. Billy finds himself as being lucky ,to find a cosy house to
stay in, whilst be isolated and inexperienced in Bath.
Furthermore, the prices are cheap, which makes Billy to stay certain. After
unpacking ,Billy is asked to sing the guestbook as it is the law. Billy notices that
there are 2 names displayed in the entire guestbook, which are 2 years old. As
he struggles to remember where he has heard the names before, the landlady
brings him a cup of tea while sipping the peculiar tea, Billy realizes that both pets
have been taxidermied.
The story ends with Billy double checking about any other guests, with the
landlady simply replying, No, my dear only you.
