Journey to Freedom is an 8-week program that helps participants identify issues they want to change in their lives and develop a plan of action. It focuses on the first three stages of change: pre-contemplation, contemplation, and preparation. In small groups led by trained facilitators, participants work through how to overcome obstacles on their journey to freedom. Each session discusses a different topic to help participants progress in the stages of change, culminating in an action plan. The goal is to help individuals seeking change identify what needs to change and how to make and maintain those changes.
