Want to become a TAIV volunteer?
Call the TAIV office to discuss your
availability and areas of interest with our
program director. She will match you with
the needs of a care-receiver, do a
background check, schedule a program
orientation and discuss ongoing support
and educational programs.
You will be surprised at how much you
receive while giving so little.
Transportation Program:
We need drivers.
Can you drive folks to their
appointments once a week or a couple
times a month?
 No special license required.
You may use your own car or our
handicapped van that seats 3 to 4
passengers, and/or 2 wheelchairs.
Instruction and program follow-up will be
given for all involved.
The need for transportation has rapidly
grown in our area. If you can help,
please contact our Program Director.

Scenarios
Rosemary, an 87-year-old widow, needs a
little help. Like most of us, she wants to
live independently in her home. She
worries about whether or not she will be
able to care for herself. TAIV volunteers
lend a helping hand. For now, Rosemary
is able to remain living in her home, and
she has made new friends through
association with TAIV and its caring
volunteers.
John is a 55-year-old disabled veteran
who uses a wheelchair. He needs rides to
frequent doctors appointments and help
with grocery shopping once a month.
TAIV volunteers drive John to his
appointments in the wheelchair accessible
van and gladly assist him with grocery
shopping.
