The Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world located in Agra, India and is made of white marble. It was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their 14th child. Slaves were used to construct the Taj Mahal and were whipped to move the bricks, while Shah Jahan was later placed under house arrest by his son as he attempted to build a black marble replica across the river.
