Take A Peek Into History With A Fort Worth
Cattle Drive
Visitors and locals alike enjoy the Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive, happening twice daily at
the Stockyards National Historic District. Authentic cowhands drive a herd of longhorn
cattle through the district, in front of the Livestock Exchange Building, then return the
cattle to their pens behind the building where visitors can view them. The association with
cowboys and longhorns is how the city got the nickname Cowtown, and this attraction
takes visitors back in time for a glimpse of the Old West. The Cattle Drive occurs at 11:30
a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily on East Exchange Avenue.
