This poem expresses a child's imagination about being different animals like a butterfly that can fly high, a bumblebee that can sting others, and a champion horse that can gallop fast. However, the child is ultimately happy being themselves since that is who they currently are.

I wish I were a butterfly

I could fly so high in the sky…

I wish I were a bumble bee

I I
could
sting
everyone
I
see

I wish I were a champion
horse

I could gallop around any course

But for now I am happy being me

For that is all that I can be!!!
