This document discusses the role of different adipose tissue types in atherosclerosis development. It describes white adipose tissue (WAT) as the main site for energy storage, brown adipose tissue (BAT) for energy combustion, and perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) providing mechanical support to blood vessels. Hypercholesterolemia and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins contribute to atherosclerosis. The hypothesis is that reducing lipid storage in WAT and increasing lipid combustion in BAT can lower risk of atherosclerosis. Therapeutic strategies aim to enhance lipid storage in WAT, activate BAT thermogenesis, and increase lipolysis in both tissues to reduce triglyceride levels.

approach to eliminate TRL is,

storage in WAT.
