Mission Statement
 The Florida Historic Capitol Museum serves to illuminate the
past, present, and future connections between the people of
Florida and their political institutions through programs of civic
education, historic interpretation, and preservation.

Stages of Remodeling &
Restoration
 1839: The construction started, the building was competed in
1845
 1902: Architect Frank Milburn, added the classical style dome
 1923: Additions by Henry Klutho included two new wings and a
marble interior
 1936 & 1947: Large wings for the House and Senate were
added to the north and south
 1972: The restoration of The Old Capitol took place, where the
capitols tower was created.

Exhibit Rooms:
 Reception Room to the Governors Suite
 Governors Private Office
 Cabinet Meeting Room
 Stenographers Office
 Supreme Court Chamber
 The House of Representatives Chamber
 The Senate Chamber
Inside all of these rooms you will be able to look at artifacts including
paintings, documents, stain/art glass dome, etc..
