This document provides information and instructions for selecting measurement sites and preparing skin for tcpO2 monitoring using PeriFlux 6000. It recommends that physicians select sites and advises avoiding sharply curved anatomy, bony prominences, large vessels, calloused skin, heavy edema and infected areas. The steps for site preparation and electrode fixation are outlined, which include removing hair, blotting with tape until clean, wiping with alcohol, aligning and securing the electrode and fixation ring. Photos should be taken and sites marked or labeled. Example comments are provided for different clinical situations.
