1. I am Tara Colquitt, The Credit Woman. I will assist you in learning to
manage your credit, money and debt to create opportunities in real estate, job
creation/retention and overall financial health. I have actively assisted clients in
credit counseling, money management, debt elimination and negotiations. In
other cases, I have assisted small business owners who have mixed credit scores
that interfere with their ability to secure business contracts. I have a proven track
record of helping others improve their credit scores and I educate and mentor
clients with diverse circumstances about using credit properly to gain access to
wealth.
I obtained my BS Degree in Civil Engineering from Howard University. I then
worked as a Project Engineer for the City of Philadelphia for 15 years while
investing in real estate and helping potential clients with their credit. I was
featured in the November 2007 Essence magazine (with my partner) regarding
real estate investment.
Currently, I am proud to be a Cover Girl on the 25th Anniversary edition of the
Womens Yellow Pages of Greater Philadelphia. I can be heard most Mondays on
Gospel Highway 111oam on The Empowerment Zone (presented by individual
business owners) discussing issues that affect the community. I present
throughout the area at various meetings, workshops and conferences on credit
counseling. I have written numerous blogs on credit, been featured on Internet
radio programs and have made appearances on WURD, WOGL and other radio
stations to give advice on credit. I was honored to be awarded a 2012 Community
Service Award by Senator Vincent Hughes' office. And I made my TV debut in
June 2013 on Comcast Money Matters.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from
now and make a brand new ending. Carl Bard, English Philosopher
