Polar bears live in different habitats across the Arctic with some locations providing better resources than others. They hunt seals from offshore ice but require stable sea ice platforms for breeding and raising cubs. While threats from climate change exist, polar bears have adapted to natural climate variations in the past and some populations remain stable or are increasing due to successful conservation efforts.
