4. METHODOLOGY
The principle methodology applied in the program is Solution-Focused. It
iswidely accepted by the International Coaching Federation and
Association for Coaching (London). The short workshop is highly

Solution-Focused Methodology has its roots as Solution-Focused Brief
Therapy founded in the mid 1980s by Dr Steve de Shazer and Dr Insoo
Kim Berg as a goal-directed collaborative work in their
psychotherapeutic practice.
It works toward solution-building rather than problem-solving, and
explores current resources and future hopes rather than present
problems and past causes. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is taught in
academia and today used in counselling, coaching, corporate and
