Over the years, starting a company has become vastly simplified due to the commoditization of common services and infrastructure through platforms. Platforms are getting more sophisticated by rising through the abstraction layers and incorporating more pieces of infrastructure that founders previously had to build themselves, such as user login/management, CRM/notifications, social integration, and deployment/operations. This trend will continue to simplify starting companies by reducing technical debt and allowing founders to focus on their core product or service.
