How do I.

place a hold.. on a book?
What is a hold?
  If you wish to borrow a book that
 has been checked out by someone
    else, you can place a hold on it.
  When the book is returned to the
library, then you can place a hold on
               the book.
Look up the book in the online Catalog
     at www.cincinnatilibrary.org
The Item Information Record will
tell you if the book is checked out.
Click on the Place Hold link. It is
located on the left hand side of the
               screen.
A log in screen will appear.
Enter your login information.
Click on Place 堰看鉛糸.
This tells you that the hold was placed
              successfully!
When the book becomes available.


          You will be notified by phone
          or email when your hold is
          available. Please contact your
          local library if you have any
          questions.
Placing Holds on Materials
About Holds   Cardholders may place holds on
                most types of materials. A
                maximum number of items a
                person can place on hold may be
                established. The following
                materials may not be placed on
                hold:
                Reference materials
                New Release Feature film DVDs
Please Note


More than one person can place a
              hold on a book.
 *You will receive it based on the order of your hold.
    *A book cannot be renewed once a hold is placed on it.
 Remember.
    Holds cannot be placed if..

   *The item is a Reference material or a
      New Release Feature film DVD.
*You have reached the allowable amount of
                  holds. (7)
*You have unpaid fines or overdue materials.
If you no longer want the book.
     Go to the Catalog page.
Go to My Account then click on
             Holds
Select the hold you wish to cancel and
 click the box next to it. Then click on
                cancel.
You will see a message confirming your
            cancelled hold.
