Southern California Edison is constructing the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP) to connect new wind farms in the Tehachapi area to the electric grid. The project involves building over 250 miles of new transmission lines and substations to transport up to 4,500 MW of wind energy. Cordoba Corporation provides construction management and civil inspection services for segments 1-3 of the project, which were completed between 2009-2010. Segments 4-11 will connect additional wind farms in eastern Kern County to the grid in San Bernardino County.
