How can nonprofits measure the effectiveness of investments of time and money in social media marketing? Patrick will explore social media analytics and efficiency opportunities through both best practices and examples of what not to do.
This document contains a physics exam with 37 multiple choice questions related to topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and modern physics. The questions cover concepts such as circular motion in a magnetic field, magnetic field strength required to maintain a charged particle's trajectory, oscillations of magnets and springs, work done by magnetic fields, resistivity of materials at different temperatures, and more.
This document contains a 50 question physics exam from 1996 with multiple choice answers for each question. The questions cover topics in mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, waves, optics, and modern physics. Example questions include calculating kinetic energy after an object embeds in sand, determining the wavelength of a sound wave, and identifying which property is conserved in an adiabatic expansion of a gas. The correct answers are not provided, but students would select one of the four lettered choices for each question.
This document discusses creative ways to use an interactive whiteboard for English language teaching. It covers how to set up the equipment, using the toolwheel and scrapbook features to work with text and images. It also discusses using graded reader CD-ROMs and internet applications for interactive activities. Some benefits mentioned are increased motivation for teachers and students, better use of classroom time, and improving multimedia literacy.

Thailand's Digital TV transition: regulatory challenges.
Presented at Thai Media Forum (3 April 2013) by Isriya Paireepairit, Siam Intelligence Unit (SIU)
Mobile devices are increasingly popular while PCs decline. Smartphones now outsell PCs and their screens, processors, and networks continue advancing. Mobile networks are transitioning to high-speed 4G LTE. Worldwide, Android and iOS dominate the smartphone market. Content providers like the BBC are developing mobile strategies including responsive websites and apps targeting various mobile platforms and form factors.
1. China was first unified under the Qin Dynasty but it only lasted briefly before being succeeded by the Han Dynasty, which ruled for around 400 years.
2. When the Han Dynasty began to decline, China split into three kingdoms - Wei, Wu, and Shu - who fought for control for 80 years with no clear winner.
3. Eventually, the Sima clan from the Wei kingdom rose to power and established the Jin Dynasty, absorbing the other kingdoms and reuniting China under a new ruling family.
The document presents preliminary findings from a multi-country study of telecom use among low-income populations in Asia. The key findings from the study include:
1) The majority of respondents have used a phone in the last 3 months, with ownership and usage increasing since previous studies. However, computer and internet usage remains relatively low.
2) Most respondents access phones within their household rather than personally owning a phone. Female respondents and those in rural areas rely more on shared household or others' phones.
3) The top reasons for not owning a phone are the upfront cost and lack of perceived need, rather than lack of network coverage.
