This document outlines the traditional territorial land rights systems in Brunei. There were four main systems: Kerajaan, which belonged to official ranks and collected taxes for the Sultan; Kuripan, which belonged to royal family members and could pass down through families without paying taxes; Tulin, which belonged to the Sultan but revenues were given to assistants; and traditional rights areas, which belonged to the Sultan but local communities had use rights and provided taxes. The document lists the specific river regions and areas controlled under each system.
