This document provides instructions for an exercise where participants focus on different colors and write down 3 words that each color associates for them. Participants are asked to breathe deeply while looking at or imagining each color, then write words describing their feelings and associations for that color in a provided table. The purpose is to help participants better understand their personal image and preferences through exploring color symbolism.
3. Instructions:
Take a moment to focus on each color individually. Take a few deep breathes while looking at the color
youre working on. If you choose, close your eyes and imagine yourself surrounded in a light of this color.
When you feel ready, write a minimum of three words that you associate with that color in the space
provided. They can be any words you choose, as specific or general as you would like. It may be helpful
to choose an emotion word for at least one of them. Then move on to the next color. There is a space for
the color white, as well as three blank spaces for other colors youd like to include.
