PROJECT
Experimental research is a kind of research with an analytic
approach focusing on a specific phenomenon.
Consequently, the variables involved in this type of research
can be controlled and manipulated differently from
Qualitative or Descriptive research in which there is less control
of the variables. Moreover, Experimental researchs objective is
deductive because it is developed around a hypothesis that
comes from the experience or observation in daily situations. It
seeks to test such hypothesis. Finally, Data is collected by pre
testing, post testing, grouping and treatment, with the purpose
to obtain a concluding and acceptable result.
OBJECTIVE
The aim of this study is to test whether the
deductive teaching method using
pronunciation practice with the ed sound
of the regular past tense affects the
acquisition of these sounds in a positive
manner.
SUBJECT
Students from third year, morning section

PRE-TEST SCORE OF ED ENDING SOUNDS
In the project there were three Ss.The results of testing ED ending
sounds, students got different scores as we see in the graphic. The
lowest grade is represented in orange, the middle grade in gray, and
the highest grade in green. The students were confused because they
did the test by intuition.

POST- TEST SCORE OF ED ENDING SOUNDS
The graphic is about the last test applied to the sts. As we see there are
just two sts. One of the bachellor drop out the project. The other
students learned how to differenciate the ending ED and they got a
higher grade.
